Staffing in the app

The Knuut app has a Staffing tab both on the unit’s device and on the manager’s own phone. The figures are computed the same way as in the browser.

The unit’s device

The tab shows the situation of the device’s own unit. Anyone who has unlocked the device with their PIN can see it.

• At the top are a clock, the unit’s name and the unit’s Ratio, Utilisation and Need, the same figures as in the browser.
• If the unit uses roster planning, Next 2 hours follows: children and adults according to the published roster, and a note if an adult leaves before the group’s last child.
• Below, each group has its own row, with Not in group last. A row shows Children and Staff as present / everyone. People are listed under their home group.
• Tapping a row opens the group’s people and their states.
• Pull the view down to refresh it.

Group rows do not have a ratio of their own. The ratio is computed for the whole unit.

When an Organisation admin or Unit admin signs in to the Knuut app with their own account, Staffing is the first view. It refreshes every 15 seconds.

• Overview shows how many units are in each state.
• Units shows each unit’s state, ratio, utilisation and need.
• Tapping a unit opens its people. Employees is first and Children below it, checked-in people first. Use Search by name to find someone.
• The unit view has a Create substitute shift button. It opens the substitute shift form with the unit and today already filled in. When the unit is understaffed, the button is highlighted.
• A worker’s details also show their PIN. See PIN codes.

An Organisation admin sees every unit, a Unit admin their own units.
