I cannot see Roster in the menu.

Roster planning is switched on per organization. Contact Knuut support. Also check that your role is Unit admin or Organisation admin.

Why does my part-timer get an extra work warning?

The period’s planned hours go over their contract hours. That is allowed but needs the Worker’s consent. If the hours also go over full time, the warning becomes a blocking error. See extra work or overtime.

A Worker’s target looks full time, though they are part time.

The Worker probably has no contract, or it starts later. With no contract, Knuut plans the Worker as full time. Add the contract from the Worker’s page.

Can I publish a period that still has red errors?

Yes, but you must write why you are publishing anyway. The reason is saved.

The roster is published. How do I change a shift?

Edit the shift as usual and write a reason. The change takes effect when the Worker agrees in the app or when you record their agreement. See After publishing.

A Worker has no app. How do they see their shifts?

Print the period with Print PDF. Ask for their wishes directly and record their agreement to changes yourself.

A Worker forgot to check out.

The day shows Check-out missing. Open the day, press Correct, and enter the right departure time and a reason. The original stamp stays visible.

The period will not close.

A period can be closed only after it has ended, and every day to review and every open flag must be handled first. Use Only days to review to find them.

I found a mistake after closing the period.

If the payroll export has not been made yet, you can reopen the period. If it has, record the correction as an adjustment, and it goes out with the next payroll export.

The payroll export will not go through.

Next export tells you why. Usually an hour category has no wage type or a period is not closed yet. A missing wage type can be typed into the unit’s own wage types.

What if a Worker does not answer a time-off proposal?

If the proposal is still unanswered at the payroll export, the hours are paid as wages.

What is the difference between ylityövapaa and tasausvapaa?

Ylityövapaa (time off in lieu) is taken from the earned balance and draws it down. Tasausvapaa (averaging day off) is a day off that is part of evening out working time, and it does not touch the balance.
