Unit settings
Settings are per unit. Units in the same organisation can have different deadlines and different opening hours.
Care time booking deadline
Section titled “Care time booking deadline”Where to find it:Settingsthe unitChildren and care times
Weeks in advance tells how many weeks ahead a guardian must submit the child’s care times. The smallest value is 1 week and the default is 2 weeks. When you type a number, the form shows an example of the date by which guardians must submit their care times.
Knuut works out the deadline like this:
- The first day that can be changed freely is the Monday of the week that is the set number of weeks from this week.
- The days from today up to the day before that Monday are locked.
- On a locked day a guardian cannot change care times or add a booking. They can always report an absence.
Example: the deadline is 2 weeks and today is Friday 25 September 2026. The days from 25 September to 4 October are locked. A guardian can change times from Monday 5 October onwards.
Unit admins and Organisation admins can change locked days too, on the child’s page. See Child’s service times.
Opening hours
Section titled “Opening hours”Where to find it:Settingsthe unitGeneral
