Child's service times

Organisation adminUnit admin

Guardians usually handle bookings themselves in the app. On the child’s page you can check them, set a default schedule for a child whose guardian does not use the app, and correct days at the guardian’s request.

Where to find it:Childrenthe child's nameService times

The tab has three parts: the default schedule, the absence period and the next 8 weeks. A Unit admin sees only the children of their own units.

Default schedule is the child’s normal week. It applies whenever a day has no exception.

  1. Press Edit. If the child has no default schedule yet, you see No default schedule has been set yet. and the button Set service times.
  2. Choose the child’s contract if none is chosen.
  3. Pick the days from Monday to Friday and an arrival and departure time for each. A day without times is free.
  4. Check the counter Selected x h / y h. The week’s hours cannot go over the contract’s hours.
  5. Press Save.

Knuut checks the times the same way as the guardian’s app: the departure must be after the arrival, the times must be within opening hours, and a day is at most 10 hours.

Under Mark an absence period you mark the child absent for a longer time, for example for an illness or a holiday.

  1. Choose Starting and Ending.
  2. Choose Reason for the absence: Sick leave, Holiday or Away (other).
  3. Add notes if needed.
  4. Press Mark as absent. Knuut tells you how many days were marked.

Weekends are skipped. On the days of the period, earlier bookings and absences are replaced by the new absence.

The list shows the child’s days from today eight weeks ahead, week by week.

  • Grey times come from the default schedule.
  • A filled badge such as 08:00 - 16:00 is an exception, a time saved for that day on its own.
  • Sick leave, Holiday and Away (other) are reported absences.
  • Off means the child has no booking and no default time for the day.
  • Notes the guardian wrote are shown under the day.
  • A padlock marks days inside the booking deadline. The guardian can no longer change their times. You can.

Press a day to open the day dialog:

  • Present: arrival time and departure time.
  • Absent: the reason (Sick leave, Holiday or Away (other)) and notes.
  • Save saves the day as an exception.
  • Remove exception hands the day back to the default schedule.

The guardian sees your change in the app the next time they open the tab.

When a child attends another unit for a set period, for example a Christmas or summer holiday unit, the child gets a temporary placement on the Placements tab, or many children at once on the Holiday placements page. The child’s own unit and invoicing do not change.

In The next 8 weeks a placed day carries the host unit’s name. On those days the guardian’s bookings follow the host unit’s opening hours and notice window. If the default schedule falls outside the host unit’s opening hours on placed days, saving the placement or the default schedule shows a warning. Add an exception for those days.

See the Temporary placements guide, especially One child’s placement and Many children at once.
